Ms Seow Jing You

Ms Seow's journey to the world of classical Ballet began at the age of 7 years old with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). With strong passion and natural aptitude in Ballet, Ms Seow has completed her RAD Graded and Vocational Examination with multiple Distinctions under the tutelage of Ms Sheney Beh in Nutcracker Ballet Academy.

Ms Seow has been invited to perform in performances such as Christmas Event in Genting Highland in 2016 and 2019 in St. Regis Hotel Kuala Lumpur performing as one of the main character in The Nutcracker - The Sugar Plum Fairy with collaborating with live orchestra. Besides, she has also joined a 5-day Summer School course by RAD Malaysia and perfoming in both Classical Ballet Repertoire and Contemporary with well-known instructors from New Zealand, UK and Australia.​

Through the years of dancing, Ms Seow attained a 100% passing rate in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) with multiple Distinctions. Under the tutelage of Ms Sheney Beh, she was one of the first batch graduate Advanced 2 student of Nutcracker Ballet Academy in 2024. Furthermore, she distinguished herself as a Distinction holder in RAD Grade 8 and Advanced 2.

Ms Seow found her passion for teaching since 2017. Since then, she started teaching students from young to adults for 8 years. Although Ms Seow's dance and teaching career was flourishing, she could not ignore her goal of pursuing in higher education and discover more about medicine and healthcare. She graduated from UCSI University with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours),  as earned herself as a registered Pharmacist since 2023. However, her passion towards dance and teaching is unhindered. Hence, she is a Full-time Pharmacist based in Selangor, Malaysia and Ballet instructor at Nutcracker Ballet Academy.

Ms Seow has numerous years of dancing, stage and performing experiences. In 2023, she was appointed as one of the Elite Competition Team coach in Nutcracker Ballet Academy. She has been choreographing, preparing and training students for competitions such as the Malaysia Challenge Cup Dance Competition, Southeast Asia International Ballet Competition, Malaysia NextGen Dance Competition, Asia Open Dance Championship, International Youth Performing Arts Championship (formerly known as Youth Performing Arts Championship) and many more in Solos, Duo/Trio and large group such as Ensemble and Troupe.

Ms Seow's commitment, dedication towards training her students has allowed her choreographing to be placed as an award winning piece. Her award winning choreography includes the Neoclassical Duo awarded GOLD Award and Troupe Lyrical Primary B Age 10 to 12 years old awarded GOLD Award with a high score of 90/100 at the 5th Asia Open Dance Championship 2024.

Ms Seow believes each dancer are born to perform whenever they step in this dance journey. Beyond the steps and technique, it takes patience, time, commitment and discipline. With her love and passion in dance always allows her to aim high and to share knowledge to her students to unlock the future making dreams come to reality.
